Microsoft Access Relational Databases
MS Access is a popular and robust relational database
system used by many small to medium sized enterprises as well as
professional software developers to produce their own turnkey
applications. It integrates fully with all Microsoft Office components and
functions well on a stand-alone computer or on small to medium computer
networks.
It is possible to use Access at two levels. The
first is as a very simple database system using the user friendly menus,
toolbars and wizards to achieve the required output from your system.
At a more complex level, it can be combined with
Visual Basic to provide a complete stand-alone
application, which will allow you to manipulate your data at the click of
a button. This is usually the solution which is the most time-saving and
has the added advantage that a well designed system needs the minimum of
training for new and casual users who will not need to know anything about
Access itself.
Courses
Access courses are
usually conducted on a one-to-one
basis. The client often has a specific database in mind. Since the
design of the database is usually one of the most difficult features, the
lesson is structured around the needs of the client, bearing in
mind his or her own business requirements.
The number of lessons, timing and content is
entirely at the discretion of the client although we will make specific
recommendations.

Database Design And Implementation
Allow us to make a turnkey solution for you. Use
our expertise in the following to produce the perfect system for you:
Systems Analysis - We come to your workplace to
discuss your requirements and see your current system. We then make
proposals for a new system, which may or may not include a database.
Proposals can cover all parts of the business system including manual and other
computer systems. Often we will present you with more than one option.
Data Design - This is one of the most difficult
parts of the analysis. A good system depends upon a good design and
understanding of the data requirements and of relational design.
Access Design and Implementation - If our proposals
include the use of Microsoft Access, we will design and implement the
database for you.
We train you and your staff in the best use of
your new Microsoft Access database and other related systems.
