If you have your own business, then the answer is an unequivocal
yes!
- Your customers will expect it. To be without a web presence is
like being without a business card.
- With a web you can display your product to the world 24/7.
- The days of fliers, leaflets and the phone enquiry are going.
Prospective customers will want to check you out on the Internet
first.
- Whilst new customers will have the opportunity to find you in
search engines, you should still place your advertisements in
the usual sources, but let your customer find out all the
details on your own web site.
- You can display the latest information without worrying about
out-of-date flyers and advertisements.
The advantages of having your own domain
Hosting is very cheap. From as little as £12 (€18) or even
free.
- With that you will get your own email address, such as mary@yourdomain.com.
Much more impressive than a yahoo address!
- Even cheap hosting provides several email address, so you can
have mary, info, office, accounts etc. all at yourdomain.com!
- These email addresses can all be used with your own email
client, such as Outlook Express, or with web mail when you're
away from the office and your own computer.
- You can automatically forward these email addresses, so when
you're on that well deserved break in the Bahamas, someone else
can be dealing with the email.
What will it cost?
Less than you think!
- First there is the hosting, from £12 (€18) per year
upwards.
- Then your domain name from £6.50 (€10) per year upwards or
in some cases, free.
- Then your designer. . .
Where we can help
Going to a big design company will be expensive: they have huge
overheads and they have the expense of employees who are highly
trained in the all the latest technologies and software packages.
But do you need all that? Probably not!
We specialise in small webs for small businesses. You could pay as
little as €150 for your home page and as little as €20 for each
subsequent page. The price will vary according to your
requirements.
Items that add to the cost would be major editing of text,
acquiring graphics other than those supplied by you whether through
taking photos, scanning or purchase.
We don't just design the web site, we help you make the most of
the marketing resources offered by owning your own web site and
domain name.

unnecessary components to put off clients.

Maintenance
You basically have 2 options:
- Maintain it yourself - we can help you here after we've set it
up.
- Too busy for that. Let us do it. Text alterations can be as
little as €10 per page. In fact, we'll do it for free in the
first three months!
