I was born in London as Janet Knibbs.
I started my working life as a teacher of music and German but moved to Germany for a few years where I taught mainly English.
On returning to Britain, I took another degree, this time in computing and business studies, but shortly after gaining my B.Sc. (Hons) I followed my husband to Asia. Here I became an expert at Microsoft Access relational databases and set up my first company, analysing systems, designing and implementing relational database solutions. I also taught Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher, Outlook and Access.
On following my husband back to the mainland of Europe, website design and implementation became my main area of expertise.
After returning to the UK I retired from working professionally but continued to work for charities doing both website and database design and implementation.
